Abercrombie Gets Backlash After Dissing The Situation

Abercrombie and Fitch is saying they don't want the Jersey Shore cast to ruin their brand! They told The Situation they will pay him a significant amount of money to quit wearing their clothes! They said, quote, "We are deeply concerned that The Situation's association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We have offered a substantial payment to The Situation to wear an alternate brand.  We have also extended this offer to other members of the cast, and are urgently awaiting a response." Now it looks like dissing The Situation has damaged their image. Since the announcement yesterday, the Abercrombie stock has fallen 9%. MTV is saying this was just a publicity stunt that backfired since they never actually contacted The Situation. DJ Pauly D tweeted, "Hmmm, if they don't want us to wear those clothes, why make GTL shirts?  Your PR sucks."
