Shreveport Favorite is Ready to Win the New Season of ‘The Voice’
If you like your music with a side of twang and a nice beard, you're going to want to be watching the premiere of NBC's 24th season of The Voice for one of Shreveport, LA's own talented musicians. And if you've been paying attention, you'll realize that we've seen this musician on The Voice before.
Which Shreveport musician is being featured on season 24 of The Voice?
If you've never seen Ole Whiskey Revival, you're missing out. Think honky tonk southern rock outlaw country. I absolutely love watching these guys play and try to catch their shows whenever I can. Alex Troegel aka Al Boogie, their lead singer, from Mansfield, was actually already a contestant on The Voice earlier this year, and lo and behold, he's making a return this season after
But then, we see this pop-up!
Here's the deal, Alex can't say much about what's going on at this point for legal reasons but there are new judges this time around and I'm thinking Reba McEntire is going to be the way to go for Mr. Boogie. The other coaches this season are John Legend, Niall Horan, and Gwen Stefani.
Alex is the 37-year-old son of Bill and Sherri Troegel. He grew up in Mansfield, went to LSU Shreveport, and is married to Stacey Lynn Brown Troegel. He's also a father, a dog dad, a good musician, an entertainer, and by all accounts, a good guy.
What does the future hold for Alex? He can't say. But I sure hope it's a spot on one of the teams and a straight shot to the finals and then on to fame and fortune!
