Amy Winehouse Died Of A Seizure, Dad Says
Amy Winehouse's father says he thinks an alcohol detoxification-related seizure may have caused her death and "there was nobody there to rescue her."
Winehouse died at her London home July 23 at the age of 27 after a long battle with drug and alcohol addiction. Toxicologists found alcohol in her bloodstream, but it is not known if this contributed to her death.
During a taping of Anderson Cooper's new syndicated talk show Friday, Mitch Winehouse said his daughter had been drug-free for two-and-a-half years, but had been battling alcohol problems and had been suffering from occasional seizures.
