Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith Divorcing After 18 Years

Celebrity couple Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith announced that they are filing for divorce after 18 years of marriage.

The couple released a joint statement Friday which read, "We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost 20-year marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together."

People magazine reports that Griffith is seeking spousal support from Banderas and physical custody of their 17-year-old daughter Stella with visitation rights for Banderas.

This is the fourth marriage for Griffith, 56, and the second for Banderas, 53.
