Are Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson putting together a band? It seems as though the couple is forming a duo or band together.

Cyrus' company filed legal documents that requested ownership of the name Bandit and Bardot, E! News confirmed.

The trademark request would mean that the name can be used by them for music and entertainment industry purposes, TMZ reported.

The Instagram account, @BanditandBardot, was created and only follows two people: Cyrus and Simpson. The profile picture is of a skull with the letters "B" in each eye socket. To further the speculation, a Twitter account with the same username was also created this month.

The news doesn't come as a complete shock since the pair have shared videos of themselves singing with one another on social media. Simpson even confirmed that they have considered collaborating together. "Yeah, definitely. We're looking at it," Simpson said about the possibility of a collaboration in an interview with E! News.

The couple recently performed holiday classics, as well as their own solo music, at Cyrus' Happy Hippie Foundation's Christmas party alongside her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, mother and sister.

Simpson and Cyrus began dating in October after Cyrus called things off with Kaitlynn Carter earlier this year.
