Are These the 10 Most Hated Intersections in Shreveport-Bossier City?
I almost forgot what driving in Shreveport and Bossier City was like before the "Shelter in Place" came around. Almost! Over the weekend, after my wife asked me to run a couple of errands, I was quickly reminded that traffic engineers in the area must have the toughest jobs on the planet.
We squeeze all the traffic of the two cities into these little bitty, tiny areas to shop, dine, or just go for entertainment. And when you consider just how spread out our cities are, it really doesn't make a lot of sense. However, that's just how it is.
Can you imagine the horror a visitor must experience when they come to town and first get a taste of Airline Drive in Bossier City or Youree Drive in Shreveport? Or upon their entrance, when they first try to exit I-49 to go east on I-20? I wonder how many have just hammered down and kept going east and didn't slow down until they got to Monroe.
Course, one thing we've all learned around here. Don't be in a hurry. Use your turn signals. Keep your head on a swivel. Pray hard and a lot. And that still doesn't guarantee a safe arrival, but it sure makes you feel better while you're cussing out all the drivers who didn't do those things we've just mentioned.
Just take a look and see if you agree that these are the 10 Most Hated Intersections in all of Shreveport and Bossier City.
