Ark-La-Tex Ranks Top 5 Areas In The Country For Doing Business

Area Development Magazine has put out their annual report on the top states to do business in and coming in Top 5 on that list is both Texas and Louisiana! Texas placed #3 with Louisiana following close behind at #5. According to the study Area Development based their list of ways the states were bringing in business and helping them grow like "incentive packages rich with discounts and credits and tax breaks, free land and infrastructure, faster permitting, energy discounts, shovel-ready sites, creative funding options, workforce training, etc."

Now that several large companies with the biggest name being Amazon are looking to expand their reach and setup new headquarters this might help the Shreveport area move up on that list! Amazon would bring in around 50,000 high paying jobs and would almost change the area overnight.

By the way Arkansas came in at #16 on the list for Top States to do Business in as well.
