Artifact from World Trade Towers Now Part of Bossier City Memorial
A September 11 artifact has traveled from New York to Bossier City, and is now on permanent display at our 9-11 Memorial.
Local businessman and Keep Bossier Beautiful President Tom Lawson led the effort nearly four years ago to bring the 16-foot steel beam from the World Trade Towers here, after he visited Project Indianapolis.
"It moved me," Lawson said. "As you moved toward the metal, you felt the energy and I felt we needed it for our 9/11 memorial in Bossier City."
Take a look at video from this morning's news conference welcoming the artifact to Liberty Garden at the Bossier City Municipal Complex.
