Aussie Woman Uses Tinder for Traffic Fine, Shreveport Man Replies
This student just needed help and she found it with a side of southern hospitality.
I've never used a dating app before, but I'm willing to be that there are all sorts of people on them. I believer there are genuine people who are honestly looking for love and there are people who are looking for God knows what. This woman in Australia was just looking for help... and probably love too.
According to the Daily Mail, Lexi is a 25-year-old college student at the University of Newcastle who incurred a traffic fine. She used her Tinder profile bio to ask for help in paying the $110 fee. She wrote "Just looking for a nice guy to pay penalty infringement..."
It was Matt McHugh from Shreveport, Louisiana who took action.
The engineer struck up a conversation with Lexi and after a few good chats, decided to help her out. He used Tinder Plus to find people in Australia, a place he has always wanted to visit, and since she was a good sport he felt like it was a nice thing to do. McHugh isn't expecting anything in return aside from friendship. As he puts it, "... it's hard to get one of those beautiful blonde Australians to come to America."
You never know, Matt... You never know.
