Ben McKenzie Injured In Freak Accident On ‘Gotham’ Set

Happy (Ouch!) birthday!

"Gotham" star Ben McKenzie suffered minor injuries while filming a scene for his upcoming Fox series.

"Happy Birthday to me. Fight sequence gone awry," the 36-year-old posted on Instagram Friday along with a picture of McKenzie with a bandage on his forehead. "Don't ram your head into concrete pillars kids. #gotham"

He later posted another photo, this time showing a little blood, with the caption reading, "Holy concrete wall, Batman! #Gotham."

McKenzie's expected to make a full recovery and return to work early this week.

Watch for "Gotham" beginning Monday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. (CT) on Fox.
