Bert And Ernie Won’t Wed (AUDIO/VIDEO)

I could have told you this... Haven't you ever listened to Bert and Ernie's In Da Tub??? Apparently, now that gay marriage is legal in New York, people are starting to match make and even Bert and Ernie aren't safe. Is Sesame Street in the Bronx??? Believe it or not, there is an online petition asking PBS to just get them hitched already! Who thinks of this stuff?

Bert and Ernie were the fabric of my childhood. My Dad called me Bert and/or Ernie interchangeably. Sesame Street was my FAVORITE! According to MSN, the guy behind the petition is also behind a movement called Out Bert and Ernie. Someone has too much time on their hands. Bert and Ernie are best friends... End of story. After all, finding a decent roommate is tough. Haven't you ever seen Single White Female?!?!? I'm so glad Salon sees my point of view. There have been lots of roommates on TV that weren't gay. No one accused the Golden Girls of any hanky panky. See the list here!
