The Shreveport Mudbugs have been a force on the ice for twenty years. Here's a look at the top fights in the team's history.

Over the past two decades, citizens here in the Ark-La-Tex have been treated to exceptional hockey. One walk into the newly renovated Hircsh Coliseum will prove the success, after a glance at the many banners hanging in the rafters.

This season, the Mudbugs are poised to make a deep playoff run, sitting just a few points behind the league leading Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Coincidentally, these two teams will face off this weekend, Friday and Saturday night, at George's Pond. The hype surrounding these games is at an all-time high, and not just because the Mudbugs and the Ice Dogs are the top-two teams in the league. Once reason both nights should see monstrous crowds, is because the 'Bugs are just a few days removed from a brawl for the ages that featured a goalie fight right here in Shreveport. The brawl came towards the end of their second match up of the weekend with the Kenai River Brown Bears, and videos of the fisticuffs went viral across all social media platforms.

On top of the fight itself, the Mudbugs also dominated the weekend in front of many Mudbugs fans, winning both games convincingly.

The Mudbugs haven't lost a home game in months, and the Ice Dogs haven't lost a game in general over the same time-span. Something's gotta give, and you want to be in the arena to see the action unfold, trust me.

To get you excited for the two home games this weekend, I wanted to take a path down memory lane, and share some of the biggest fights in Mudbugs history with you. From Jim Sprott to James Delory, and even the insane two-team brawl from 2008, we know you'll be entertained by the videos listed below.
