First the Louvre, now the Roman Colosseum?

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have their sights set on renting out the iconic Italian landmark, according to Italian paper, Il Messaggero. Bey filed a request with the local government back on July 7 and 8, which would've overlapped with the Rome stop of their On the Run II tour. However, the request was denied, because Italian scientist Alberto Angela had already reserved the space, according to the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

It looks like we'll still have a chance to see exactly what the Carters had planned though, since Beyoncé has since filed another request for the Colosseum, which is still under review. No dates for when the Carters might have access to the landmark space have been revealed as of yet.

The last time Jay and Bey rented out a historic site, we came away with the gorgeous video for the summer banger, "Apeshit," which was shot in the Louvre in Paris, and is the lead single from their impressive, surprise joint album, Everything Is Love.

For now, the two are now headed back to the States for the North American leg of the OTRII, which kicks off on July 25 in Cleveland. It wraps on Oct. 2 in Vancouver. You can see all the dates here.
