Hell hath no fury like a Belieber -- scorned or not.

In the wake of Justin Bieber's break up with Selena Gomez, the Biebs allegedly teared up while singing an emotional love song in concert. Meanwhile, Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin -- rumored to be the Bieb's shiny new love interest -- had her pretty little hands full warding off his fans' copious ire.

Bieber and Gomez reportedly split a week ago over "trust issues" she had with the 19-year-old teen phenom. Undeterred, he performed at the recent Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, where an insider claimed he was hitting on models -- most of whom likely patted him on his little head and told him that despite his fame and fortune, they were way too hot for him.

But at least one didn't laugh him off -- VS beauty Palvin posted a photo of the two of them on Twitter and then attended a Broadway showing of 'The Lion King' with the singer this weekend, causing his legions of fans to unsheathe their claws and declare an adolescent fatwa on her.

She claims she has a boyfriend and the theater outing was not a date, and in two separate tweets a day apart, she pleaded with the Beliebers to just calm the eff down already:

While all this was going on, Bieber did a Friday night show in East Rutherford, N.J., and seemed to turn on the waterworks while singing his ballad 'Be Alright.' The lyrics tell an unnamed romantic interest, "You know that I care for you / I'll always be there for you / Promise I will stay right here, yeah / I know that you want me too / Baby we can make it through, anything / Cause everything's gonna be alright."

Speaking with reporters on Saturday, Justin said, "I don't know what to say. I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that, it doesn't make sense, because I have not made any comment."

Well. Thanks for clearing that up.

For her part, Gomez is carrying on, but she and Bieber may or may not be planning to sit down and talk things over sometime Monday since they'll both be in New York.

NOT YET! the tabloids screamed. WE CAN STILL SQUEEZE ANOTHER WEEK'S WORTH OF NEWS OUT OF THIS!
