Looks like Whitney Houston‘s absence is having other effects on her 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina. The teen, who has been in the press for a myriad of drama, from smoking pot to dating her adopted brother, was reportedly gambling at the MGM Resort and Casino in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Bobbi Kris was in town to appear the 2012 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 20, where she tearfully accepted the Millennium Award honor on her late mother’s behalf. However, she was caught on camera playing the slot machines the day before (May 19) with her boyfriend and said adopted brother Nick Gordon. She’s underage, so the offense is punishable by up to six months in county jail or a $1000 fine. Other fines could be imposed by the casino.

According to Ace Showbiz, the venue is looking into the matter, as 21 is the legal gambling age. Anyone under 21 who engages in any sort of gaming is breaking the law. MGM’s Gaming Control Board Chairman Mark Lipparelli has stated the video does not constitute enough evidence. Really? That seems like it’d be evidence to us…

Further investigation is required to determine whether or not employees had knowledge of the activity actually taking place.
