Body Pulled from Red River Is Man Who Jumped from Texas Street Bridge

The body recovered from the Red River Thursday night has been identified as the man who jumped from the Texas Street Bridge on May 3. The man was 30 years of age and from Shreveport.

A group fishing at the A.R.T. Parkway boat launch reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the river and notified authorities.

The body was recovered about a mile south of the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge by fire department crews in the BCFD water rescue boat and turned over to the Bossier Parish  Coroner's Office for an autopsy and identification.
