Clingy Netflix Execs Renew ‘BoJack Horseman’ for Season 5
Lest BoJack Horseman get scooped by WhatTimeIsItRightNow.com, Netflix is making another commitment to our favorite (recovering?) alcoholic horse. The critically-acclaimed animated satire will officially return for a fifth season, clingy execs reveal.
Netflix cleverly confirmed the good news over social media, tweeting videos of BoJack receiving texts from a “Clingy Netflix Exec” to announce the renewal. Season 4 premiered in early September – a bit later than usual for the series – so it isn’t clear when in 2018 Season 5 might surface:
For his part, star Will Arnett subsequently confirmed the ball was rolling as early as September 11:
Either way, Season 4 left plenty of questions for another round of BoJack Horseman to address, including – spoiler alert – the dissolution of Diane (Alison Brie) and Mr. Peanutbutter (Paul F. Tompkins)’s marriage, Todd (Aaron Paul)’s new asexual relationship, and BoJack’s new Philbert gig at WhatTimeIsItRightNow.com. Presumably, Mr. Robot star Rami Malek will also return as the show’s writer, Flip McVicker.
In the meantime, all four seasons of BoJack Horseman are available to stream right now, so stay tuned for more on Season 5.
