Bossier Community Unites for a Night of Comedy for a Great Cause

Tuesday, July 30th Plan to Head to the East Bank in Bossier for a Night of Comedy.

Three familiar faces are taking the stage to make us laugh and help raise for one of our own who is going through a very difficult time and could use our prayers and encouragement.

If You Live in Bossier You May Know the Name Chad Kelley.

Chad Kelley is a Bossier Police Officer and is loved by so many in the community. If you spend any time at the East Bank or Hurricane Alley you've probably run into Officer Kelley. You may be wondering why you haven't seen him patrolling the good times lately.  Kelley has Multiple myeloma. According to the Mayo Clinic, "In multiple myeloma, cancerous plasma cells build up in bone marrow. The bone marrow is the soft matter inside bones where blood cells are made. In the bone marrow, the cancer cells crowd out healthy blood cells. Rather than make helpful antibodies, the cancer cells make proteins that don't work right. This leads to complications of multiple myeloma." Kelley is going to be at Baylor for two months starting in September and his East Bank family wanted to send him off with a little extra to ease his mind and help cover the costs while he is gone for a few months undergoing stem-cell transplant.

Chuck Garner, PJ Dullard, and Benjamin Neeley are Taking Over Chef's Table on a Tuesday Night for an Epic Night of Comedy.

Tickets are $50 and it covers the show and drinks appetizers. It is all one big fundraising effort from the East Bank crew. Brittney Reeve with Chef's Table by Beauxjax said; "Chad is a wonderful human who needs our help now more than ever. He was always working hard and knowing that he isn't able to do all the extra things he used to be able to, we wanted to walk alongside him through this. We wanted to have a fundraiser that brings joy to the East Bank."
