Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police Donates Money to Fellow Officers Battling Cancer
Last month the Bossier Parish Sheriff Office and Louisiana State Police held a fish fry to help raise donations for two deputies' families whom are battling cancer, according to KSLA.
The fish fry was hosted down the street from my apartment and it is safe to say they were very busy. They ended up raising around $23,000. The money that was raised was given to Deputy Shawn Grooms' family and Deputy Robert Parker's family.
This is just another example of a community of peers seeing their fellow members going through tough times, and banding together to help. I feel that we need more of this in our world.
