Bossier Schools Get an "A" in New Performance Report

The Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) has released the performance scores of each school district and each school in the state. Bossier Parish has 23 public schools, and all but one received what your teacher would consider a passing grade.

Only 16 of Bossier Parish's 23 schools saw an increase in their performance grades from last year, while seven others saw their grades fall. The best-performing high school in Bossier Parish went to Benton High School. Benton High scored an "A" grade with 101 points.

The LDE grades schools based on student's progress, ACT scoring, the strength of the diploma, and graduation rate. Benton High had an ACT letter grade of "C," student progress grade of "A," strength of diploma grade of "A," and graduation rate grade of "A."
