Bossier Schools & Others to Close on Friday January 10th
Every time there's a threat of winter weather in Shreveport-Bossier, the first thoughts immediately go to "what's going to be open" and "will it be safe to travel". According to the latest update from the National Weather Service, Shreveport-Bossier is under a 'Winter Storm Warning', which according to the NWS, means "that conditions pose a threat to life or property, and that travel will become difficult to impossible."
Today (Thursday January 9th), there wasn't a lot going on in our area. However, with temps expected to dip below freezing in the overnight hours into Friday, things are looking a bit different for tomorrow than the did for today.
So, does that mean schools will be closed? Will businesses and roadways shut down? Here's what we know so far.
