Changes are on the way for Walmart shoppers in North Bossier. The supercenter on Airline Drive is getting a makeover. It's part of a company wide plan to upgrade several stores.

Walmart issued this statement:

Our Louisiana customers tell us they want to save time, so we are excited to bring them new convenient ways to shop and give them valuable time back.  From remodeling several stores to rolling out innovative, time-saving technology like Walmart Pickup Towers, Walmart Online Grocery Pickup and several new features on the Walmart app, shopping has never been quicker or more convenient.

North Bossier residents were successful in fighting a plan for a massive new Walmart on Airline Drive at Wemple Road. There were a lot of questions at the time about what would happen with the store on Airline Drive. Now we know the company will invest in improvements at the property.

Customers will find new pickup towers where you can scan a barcode and have your order delivered out to your car in less than a minute.

Online grocery pickup is a free service that allows customers to order items online and then pick them up at the store while never leaving their vehicle.

KPLC reports several other Louisiana Walmarts will be getting upgrades.
