Brookshires Plans to Build Store in SE Shreveport
Another grocery opportunity for residents of southeast Shreveport. Brookshires has filed all of the paperwork to build a store at the corner of Southern Loop and Norris Ferry Road.
Residents who have questions about this plan are invited to attend a community meeting on April 15th at 5:30 PM at the Norris Ferry Community Church.
Here is the letter Brookshires sent out to resident of the area:
Some have concerns about the traffic such a large grocery store will generate. They also say it is located to close to dozens of homes. But other residents welcome the grocery store in that area. The property was recently annexed into the city limits of Shreveport.
The population density in that area continues to grow and that is one of the primary reasons Brookshires has decided to move forward.
Councilman Grayson Boucher who represents that area is encouraging all residents who have concerns to show up at the April 15th meeting.
