Bullied Teenager Kicks Hilariously Serious A$$!

Daryl Lynn O'Connell is the mother of a teenage girl who was being bullied. Instead of hiding and deflecting, her daughter, Carleigh, faced her attackers head on.

Bullies from school had written Carleigh's distinctly spelled name, including the word 'ass' on a big concrete slab at the beach, inferring that Carleigh had a large backside and her classmates didn't waste any time telling her the prank was at her expense.

As you can tell by the picture above, Carleigh clearly doesn't have any weight issues. Her humorous picture and her message is the ultimate revenge. You go, Carleigh!

Ok. This one is hard for me but I feel it necessary. I ask all my Facebook friends to share this and repost this as many times as possible. I hope it travels across the country and can help one teenager who is bullied or the victim of hurtful things.

My daughter heard that her "rear end" "figure" "body shape" ....you can see the description for yourself in the photo ....was made fun of on a big rock at the beach. Well....it was true. She found it and knew it was hers since her name has a very distinct spelling. Many kids at school told her about it.

We talked about it. And while she was upset, she told me she was going to make something good out of it. I told her that I would support her. Hence, she just sent me this photo. She posted it on her Instagram and I in turn am posting this on my Facebook page. She decided that she was going to be stronger than hurtful words on the concrete and that she was going to be proud of her figure. She also told me that she feels complete sympathy for the teenagers across the country who face this everyday. She understands and wants all of them to find strength inside to rise above the nastiness and be empowered by who you are, how you are made and what is in your heart.

So for me as the mom....I type this with tears in my eyes. Not tears of sadness or anger for I will never give anyone that is mean that much power. Tears of joy knowing that my daughter can face negativity with a smile and sense of humor. This will take her far in life. No perfect report card, high test score, athletic race or award could top the pride I have today.

For all youth across America and the world. Words can hurt but how you handle the words makes all the difference.
