If you've always thought that serving as a peace officer was right up your alley, but you just didn't want to do it full time,  the Caddo Sheriff's Department has a golden opportunity for you.

In a press release we just received, the Caddo Sheriff's Department is looking for additional auxiliary deputies to supplement the force.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator announced this week that applications are currently being accepted for the next CPSO Auxiliary deputy class.

Auxiliary deputies supplement full-time Caddo sheriff’s deputies by volunteering  their services to the Sheriff’s Office in a non-enforcement capacity.  Graduates are required to complete 72 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours on patrol with a full-time deputy.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have no criminal history, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Applications are due by March 21 and can be obtained by contacting Deputy Kelly Hughes at 681-1113 or at caddosheriff.org by clicking the agency tab.  Classes begin April 4.
