Signs Point to a Permanent End
There's no mistaking this closure for a temporary remodel. Every window and door now features "Permanently Closed" signs, and the marque sign is missing its large logo, simply indicating "CLOSED" to drivers on Airline Drive.
Inside, the restaurant looks immaculate, almost as if it had been deep-cleaned and was ready for service the next day. However, a quick check of the official Captain D's website confirms the news: there is no listing for the Bossier City location anymore. Only the Shreveport location (at 7798 Youree Drive) remains active.

The History of Captain D's Seafood
Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened back on August 15, 1969. Originally known as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, the eatery began in Donelson, Tennessee, with the revolutionary idea of selling seafood at reasonable prices. While many local restaurants have since adopted this concept, it wasn't enough to save the Bossier City location.
