Chance the Rapper will perform at the inaugural Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago. The Chi-City rapper will close out the festivities as well as curate the final performance.

The event, which is set to take place on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, is geared to bring “hundreds of leaders from around the world” together to “exchange ideas, explore creative solutions to common problems and experience civic art, technology and music from around the world.”

The concert is free but not open to the public. The Obama Foundation are giving out more than 2,200 tickets to the concert with 1,500 going to community organizations, churches and schools that have been working with the foundation and another 700 going to people who have applied to go to the summit or participated in some of the foundation's feedback surveys.

When Chano heard about the Obama Foundation Summit he jumped at the opportunity to curate the last day of the event.

“It’s such an honor to be able to help creative direct this show,” he said (via Variety). “That’s because I am blessed to be part of a generation with an inherent sense of self. One that is inspired not just to talk about what needs to be changed — but get up and change it.”

"I want to help make sure every young man and woman in this city has those opportunities, too," he continued. "I want to help inspire and empower young people to change their world, just like the Obama Foundation."
