I was soon a little disappointed (but mostly amazed) to find out that this was no steak or meat in general. Nope, this is a smoked watermelon.

This clip comes from an NYC restaurant called "Ducks Eatery". Believe it or not, this is actually a menu item. It's their Watermelon Steak. This thing is sweet! They soak the melon in brine, then smoke it, and then pan-roast it.

This end result is like something you've never seen before in your life.
