Remember Chuck E. Cheese? They’re Back… For Adults! Could Shreveport See a ‘Chuck’s Arcade’?
Chuck E. Cheese is a core memory for anyone who was born in the last few decades. Once you hit a certain age, usually the allure of the pizza parlor and arcade wears off, or does it...
The company is looking into opening Chuck's Arcade, an adult-themed spin on Chuck E. Cheese. In a world where Dave & Buster's has proven that the idea of an adult-themed arcade is more than just a nostalgia hit. With the new locations being rolled out for testing, we wonder if Shreveport would make a prime location for a Chuck's Arcade.
The main idea for Chuck's Arcade is almost the same as any regular Chuck E. Cheese location, except adults of all ages are allowed at Chuck's. Keeping the tradition of arcade video games alive, Chuck's Arcade will feature classic and modern arcade games. Listed game titles currently include Halo: Fireteam Raven, Jurassic Park, and Ms. Pac-Man.
One difference from the old locations will be the food, as not every location is promised to serve the greasy pizza we've all come to tolerate. Some Chuck's Arcade locations are already up and running, and the one in Kansas City serves pizza and alcohol. With the company announcing plans to take Chuck's Arcade across the country, it's possible we could get more locations with a bar.
Is Shreveport Likely to Get a Chuck's Arcade?
Currently, there are ten Chuck's Arcade locations open across the country, but not one in Louisiana yet. Each location is inside a mall, which makes the odds of a Shreveport location pretty low. The Mall St. Vincent has seen better days, and the Pierre Bossier Mall already has a Surge location, but the Louisiana Boardwalk is in desperate need of a savior.
For now, the answer is: No, Shreveport will not be getting a Chuck's Arcade.
