64% of Americans drink at least one cup of coffee per day. That's no surprise to many of us who need countless cups of coffee to be able to function. Everyone in the office has their coffee religiously, in fact, our company has the best coffee station ever. We love coffee. There may be some coffee myths that we have all come to believe just because we have heard them so many times.
Here are some myths Thrillest and Huff Post debunked:
Coffee will ease your hangover: Sorry, not even coffee can save you from your bad decisions. You might get a burst of energy from the caffeine, but you're still going to have to drink lots of water and load up on Advil or ibuprofen.
All coffee is the same: If you swear that certain coffee perks you up more than others, you're not crazy. For example, Starbucks has 20 milligrams of caffeine per ounce in its coffee. McDonald's coffee has less than half that amount.
Coffee helps boost weight loss: Even though coffee has caffeine which can boost your metabolism, it doesn't boost it as exercise does. You can't substitute coffee for a workout. This is the worst news I have heard all day.
You won't be able to sleep at night if you drink coffee after your morning cup:
The effects that coffee gives you will wear out or flush out within four to seven hours. Go ahead and enjoy that midday coffee.
