Construction at Youree and East Kings is Confusing, Dangerous [PHOTOS]

No matter what you think you see, East Kinds is not a one way road.

Anyone who has driven down Youree Drive or East Kings has most likely encountered the disaster that is the intersection of those two roads. You sit in line for at least 30 minutes any way you slice it. The road is full of debris, uneven surfaces, and no signs to help anyone out. I forgot how bad it was until I drove it yesterday.

Heck, it may even be worse now.

The line is so bad that anyone trying to come out of Whataburger or The Cub parking lot can't move. So then you nice people trying to let people in, but they can't see oncoming traffic. I've seen about a bazillion almost-accidents on that stretch. Yesterday was one of the worst though as one person thought that East Kings was a one way street heading east. They treated the far lane (the westbound lane) like it was their turn lane. Despite the cones dividing the highway.

I'll give them this, there is no signage to help.

They got stuck at the red light. Oncoming traffic from the west had to divert into east bound traffic. Oh, and those turning from northbound Youree drive would have collided head on into this car, had they not been paying attention. I don't know how many accidents have happened here already, but if you have to travel this way, plan ahead and be on the alert.
