After 12 years (or 22 "cycles"), America's Next Top Model is calling it quits.

“Thinking #ANTM22 should be our last cycle," host Tyra Banks tweeted on Wednesday. "I truly believe it’s time. May your pics be forever fierce. Keep on Smizing!"

ANTM premiered in May 2003 on the old UPN network, moving to the CW after UPN's merger with the WB network in 2006.

America’s Next Top Model was a successful franchise for two networks, first at UPN and then The CW, and it became not just a ratings hit, but a global pop culture phenomenon,” said CW President Mark Pedowitz. “I want to thank Tyra and Ken for all their years of success in establishing a show that was not just popular in the U.S., but all across the world.”

The final episode of ANTM is set to air Dec. 4 with the finale of Cycle 22. Talks are underway to broadcast a retrospective special late next year.
