Dave Chappelle On Why He Quit Comedy Central Show

Dave Chappelle was a guest on David Letterman and the topic turned to why he is no longer doing Chappelle's Show.

You may find this hard to believe, but Dave Chappelle is a pretty private person. Many people don't know that he has a wife and children... Ok, maybe that was just me.

Chappelle made a decision to quit doing Chapelle's Show on Comedy Central seven years ago, but never really talked about the reason why. Although Chappelle kind of dances around the question, saying he never really quit, the message is still clear.

He did not want to be driven by money.

Chappelle emphasizes that money can give you choices, but there are plenty of things valuable things in this world that he did not buy.

If I had to speculate, I would say he made his money, set his family up, and now wants to spend time with his family.
