DigiFest South Hits Shreveport-Bossier This Week, Free Concert Will Take Place Thursday
When art combines with digital, beautiful things happen!
DigiFest South is a celebration of the arts through a digital media. It's put together by the Bossier Arts Council and will be taking over Shreveport-Bossier this week. There are three mail goals according to the BAC:
Inspire students to seek advanced education in digital arts
Demonstrate the economic significance of digital skills
Emphasize the importance of S.T.E.A.M. Education models
If you think art is just paints and sculptures, you're in for a rude, but enjoyable, awakening. Art coupled with technology is innovative and DigiFest South puts it on display in multiple ways.
The fun will kick off at Margaritaville's Paradise Theater with the DigiTalks Keynote and Panel Luncheon from 11-2. Then on Wednesday, September 14 from 10-4, it's the first DigiExpo Day at the Bossier Civic Center, open to middle schoolers. Day two will happen Thursday for high schoolers and the public.
It all wraps up with the DigiMusic Free Concert on Thursday, September 15 under the Texas Street Bridge in downtown Shreveport. The show starts at 6 p.m. featuring P.M. Dawn. Enjoy a free show and dance the night away.
