In case you haven't heard, a taste of Louisiana is heading to Disney World when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a Louisiana-themed ride, opens there later this month. But Tiana isn't Louisiana's only tie to Disney. Do you know about Disney's 'Haunted Mansion' in New Orleans?

When does Tiana's Bayou Adventure open at Walt Disney World?

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is set to open on June 28, 2024, in the Frontierland section of Magic Kingdom Park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, which opened originally in 1971. The 'adventure' is inspired by Disney's 2009 movie, The Princess and the Frog, a story which is based in New Orleans.

It sounds like an absolute blast, however, Tiana isn't Louisiana's only tie to the 'Mouse.'

Disney's movie Haunted Mansion came out July 28, 2023, starring Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Jared Leto, Jamie Lee Curtis, Marilu Henner, and more. The movie was inspired by the “Haunted Mansion” attraction at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida. The plot of the movie is about a mom and her son who bring in a whacky cast of so-called spiritual experts to kick the ghostly squatters out of their home. And, in case you haven't already guessed, the movie was filmed in New Orleans at this fabulous haunted mansion that could be yours... for the price of your soul. That's according to Zillow's 'Zestimate', by the way!

Zillow.com describes the property as being, 'Only minutes from downtown New Orleans, just outside the city on a secluded bayou road, this property, which dates back to the late 19th century, has been miraculously preserved in its original condition. It is important to disclose that this property is indeed haunted, and its inhabitants inflict terror and promise eternal entrapment to all who enter. We are certain that you will find this place irresistible and promise that once you see it in person, you will find it impossible to leave it behind.'

Well, that got our attention, let's take a look, shall we?

Zillow.com says the library comes complete with plenty of reading material with, 'A collection that inspires unforgettable nightmares.''

Oh, and don't forget the all-important 'séance' room... described as being, 'Perfect for summoning the dead and human possession.'
