Drake’s “God’s Plan” Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100
After dropping his Scary Hours EP on Jan. 19, Drake's "God's Plan" has launched on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at the No. 1 spot.
Along with "God's Plan," "Diplomatic Immunity" also entered the Hot 100 at No. 7. The songs' placing on the chart make Drizzy just the second act to debut two songs in the chart's top 10 simultaneously, Billboard reports.
The Billboard achievement is just the latest feat for the Toronto rapper. Earlier this month, "God's Plan" broke Spotify's single-day streaming record, racking up a whopping 4,326,679 streams on Jan. 22. The track also broke Apple Music's first-day streaming record, picking up over 14 million plays.
"Breaking Records again @Drake - God’s Plan has streamed over 14M times, breaking the worldwide Apple Music first day streaming record," tweeted Zane Lowe of Beats 1.
Up next for Drizzy, the MC has a collaboration with Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny in the works. Bunny, who has worked with Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage on Farruko's "Krippy Kush (Remix)," uploaded footage of him and Drake in the studio.
But more music isn't the only thing on Drake's plate. The rapper recently opened a new restaurant with longtime affiliate OVO Chubbs. The eatery, Pick 6ix, is located on the southern stretch of Yonge Street in Toronto—just steps away from the Air Canada Centre arena.
The restaurant is not officially open yet but is gearing up for a grand opening.
