Elderly Woman Killed in Crash in North Caddo

One woman has died in a traffic accident in north Caddo Parish. The wreck happened Wednesday, June 9 on state Highway 2 at the Gilliam Scotts Slough Road.

Just after 2 p.m., a pickup headed northbound pulled into the intersection at Hwy. 2 and collided with a westbound pickup. The driver of the westbound vehicle was not hurt.  There were two occupants in the northbound vehicle. One died at the scene and the other was transported by North Caddo Ambulance to Ochsner LSU Health.

The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has identified the victim as 84-year-old Rosina Cascio of Shreveport.

She was positively identified through photo ID.
