Louisiana Native Eli Manning “Snubbed” From Pro Football Hall of Fame
If I were a betting man, I would have put every penny I have on Louisiana native Eli Manning being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. And not just that, the Super Bowl & Awards show are taking place in his home town - NEW ORLEANS. So, they snubbed the man in his own backyard!
Eli is a living legend. Maybe his numbers aren't as impressive as his brother Peyton's, but Eli is equally deserving. All you have to do is look at his resume and quit trying to compare him to his brother and other legends of the game.
Eli Manning's Hall of Fame Case
Look, I'm not going to sit here and argue that Eli is the greatest quarterback of all time. He's no Brady or Montana or Bradshaw. But, while his stats pale in comparison to those guys, that doesn't mean he's not a sure-fire Hall of Famer. Let's just take a look at the numbers.
I can't think of many other quarterbacks I'd rather have leading my team in the 4th quarter when in position to win than Eli. The guy was CLUTCH in all the big moments and at all the right times. In fact, Eli has the record for Most fourth quarter touchdown passes in a season: 15 and is tied for the most game-winning drives in a season: 8 (2011).
Eli is two time Super Bowl MVP. That list is EXTREMELY short, only featuring Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana. That's something even his brother Peyton couldn't do. Plus, all-time, he's top 10 in both passing yards and touchdowns.
Oh, and in an era when Brady and the Patriots were unstoppable...Eli led the Giants to victory against them in the Super Bowl TWICE.

Eli Manning's Awards, Accolades & Records
Again, and I think it's because Peyton was so good, we forget how good Eli Manning was during his career. Plus, some of those Giants teams he played for were absolutely AWFUL. So, he did a little with very little.
In fact, Joe Burrow's career so far reminds me a lot of Eli. Setting records and looking impressive with very little talent around him. I can't say no talent - Joe has Chase, Eli had Odell. But overall, both guys are posting numbers with not a lot of talent around them.
