Ellie Goulding Answers Lip-Synching Speculation

The beauty of live performances is that whatever can go wrong will go wrong. Case in point...

Ellie Goulding performed live at the Australian Football League Grand Finale this past week at Melbourne's MCG Stadium when fans noticed that two of her songs, "Love Me Like You Do" and "Burn" were playing simultaneously, which raised the question: Did she lip-sync?

According to Ellie, no. "Love it when people think I lip sync, what a rad compliment : )," she posted on Twitter. "Now where does one find a good veggie restaurant in Melbs?"

"I give 100% in my performances even when people don't give much back," she added. "My fans know that. That's because I love what I do so much."

Goulding has been complaining of a "long spell chill" for the past week, but was determined to put on the best show she could for her fans.

Oh, and she also had this to share with social media: "Incidentally, the sound guy who pressed playback twice and trigged both band tracks simultaneously is nowhere to be seen…" (And, more than likely, won't be seen for a long time.)
