The Shady machine keeps rolling along, as Eminem's new album, Revival, has landed at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

In the week ending in Dec 21., the Detroit rapper's latest release moved 267,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, with 197,000 being traditional album sales. The chart-topping album marks another achievement for Em, who becomes the first artist to notch eight consecutive No. 1 LPs.

Though nothing to sneeze at, the numbers are a major dip from the first week sales numbers from 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which debuted at No. 1 with 792,000 copies. Revival falls in behind Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. and Drake's More Life for the biggest first week in hip-hop. K. Dot's latest classic notched 603,000 units; 353,000 album sales upon its release, while Drizzy's playlist pushed 505,000 units; 225,000 album sales in week one.

Shady clearly still has some staying power, but he recently hinted at Revival possibly being his last ride. "I don't know. I'm at a funny place, you know?" Em said in a recent NPR interview. "Hip-hop has been around for a long time but I don't know if it's really been around long enough to see how long someone could actually go for. You've still got guys like me and Jay-Z. Redman still has it, to me. I'm not sure what I'm going to do next, but I'm still passionate about music, and hip-hop."

Other rappers landing in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 include G-Eazy, whose The Beautiful & Damned album earned the No. 3 spot (122,000 units; 68,000 T.A.S.). Jeezy's new Pressure album comes in at No. 6, pushing 72,000 units, of which 54,000 were traditional album sales.
