200 Year-Old Minden Estate Celebrates New Life With New Owners
You Have Probably Heard of the Shadow Home in Minden, Louisiana.
This historical home was originally built in 1816 and restored by Denton Culpepper in 2016. It has been said that this estate is the oldest wooden structure in North Louisiana. The original log cabin was incorporated into the current structure. Culpepper sold the estate in October of 2023 and many people wondered what would become of the beautiful estate.
Several People Gathered in Minden on a Wednesday Afternoon to Celebrate New Life.
The estate won't fall back into disarray like many feared, it has a second chance at being a unique wedding venue. Loreli Lopez is the proud new owner of the 200 year-old estate.
Lopez claims that she didn't have any intention of buying the venue but she instantly fell in love with the venue when she visited it on a whim. She knew she wanted to help bring life to the venue again.
Lopez Claims Estate Les Chenes Will be an Elevated Wedding Experience in Northwest Louisiana.
Loreli Lopez has brought on a team that are experienced in the wedding industry. "I want brides and grooms to have all their family under one roof. I hope that the dining room table can be a place where families get together before the big day and it can be the place for a fun brunch the day after the wedding." Lopez said she wants the entire estate to be enjoyed by families so her and her family will not be moving into the home. This estate is going to be a unique wedding experience to say the least.
La Maison Rose Has Been Added to the Estate.
Lopez knew that Minden residents might need a smaller venue and brought a beautiful pink building to life as well. It fits up to 50 people and is the perfect spot for a micro wedding or a party. We love seeing families pour back into their communities and are so grateful for entrepreneurs like Lopez.
