Sports fans got a sense of normalcy last night as a live sporting event occurred. It was the start of the 2020 NFL Draft.

It was a record-setting night for the Louisiana State University football program, as five Tigers were drafted in the first round. It was kind of weird to not have the NFL draft live at a location but instead everything was done virtually.

The night got off to a great start as quarterback Joe Burrow was picked as the #1 overall draft pick to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Then, with the 20th pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected K'Lavon Chaisson and just two picks later wide receiver Justin Jefferson was picked 22nd by the Minnesota Vikings.

With the 28th pick, linebacker Patrick Queen went to the Baltimore Ravens and to round out the night, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was the last player picked in the first round at #32 to Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

That's a total of five LSU Tiger football players picked in the first round of the NFL draft, breaking a school record.

Round two of the NFL Draft continues tonight at 6:00pm on the same networks: ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network.
