Greg Hardy has a lot of ups and downs in his career. He was one of the top paid, top performing defensive ends in the NFL. But, he was sent into exile after being arrested and convicted of domestic abuse in 2014. Those charges, however, were expunged from Hardy's record after the victim refused to show up or testify during his appeal. He also violated the league substance abuse policy. Now, Hardy is looking for redemption in the MMA world. But does he deserve a second chance?

Many people online are being highly critical of the UFC and President Dana White for offer a developmental contract to Hardy given his history of violence. White made the decision after Hardy knocked out his opponent in less than a minute in his pro debut. Hardy said that White is an angel for giving him the opportunity.White has stated Hardy has turned his life around and deserves a second chance.

So, the question is, does Hardy deserve the opportunity? Should Hardy have the chance to re-write his history? Of, if he can go on to be a huge success in UFC, could his story of redemption serve as an inspiration for others to get their lives together? I guess only time will tell.
