Fred Moffitt, Moffitt Volkswagen Receive Big Honor [PHOTOS]

Moffitt Volkswagen in Bossier City has been in business for 50 years. The man who started it, Fred Moffitt, received a major honor on Thursday.

Fred Moffitt opened Moffitt Volkswagen 50 years ago and this week he received the biggest honor Bossier City could give him. In a private celebration on Thursday afternoon, the City of Bossier claimed July 10th as "Fred Moffitt Day."

Prominent members of Shreveport-Bossier were in attendance, along with Mayor Walker and Mayor Glover. To top it off, Moffitt was presented with the keys to the city and a beautiful cake.
