More water is being handed out today (Wednesday) in our community.

The Office of Homeland Security will set up at several sites around Shreveport and Caddo Parish on Wednesday, February 24th.

You can simply drive through and get one case of water for free. The giveaway begins at noon at all of the sites except Southern University in Shreveport where it will kick off at 1pm.

  • C.E. Byrd High School (enter from Gladstone Boulevard)
  • Huntington High School (enter from Rasberry Lane)
  • Independence Stadium/State Fairgrounds (enter from Greenwood Avenue)
  • North Blanchard Compactor - 7340 LA Hwy. 1
  • North Lakeshore Compactor - 5581 N. Lakeshore Dr.
  • Hosston Compactor - 15104 Oak St.
  • Vivian Public Works Camp - 108 Finley Dr.
  • Springridge Public Works Camp - 11928 Greenwood-Springridge Rd.
  • Southern University at Shreveport - 3050 Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive

Much of our region remains under a boil advisory and that will continue until full water service is restored and the health department gives the thumbs up on the safety of the water for drinking and cooking.
