Empire's attempts to keep the show as authentic as possible have led to the casting of a number of rappers for roles, ranging from minor to major. Now French Montana and Birdman have been announced as the latest MCs who will appear on the show.

The Bad Boy rapper has landed a role on the popular Fox drama as he will play the part of music mogul Vaughn, "a member of Lucious Lyon’s powerful inner circle," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Birdman will have a cameo as himself on the Lee Daniels-created show. Lee teased the new additions via an Instagram post from the set of the taping of the series.

French made his acting debut earlier this year when he made a cameo as himself on the film The Perfect Match. He also has a role in a film titled Respect the Shooter which is in post-production.

As previously reported, last month news broke that Xzibit will also have a regular role on the show. X to the Z will reprise his role as Leslie “Shyne” Johnson, a rival to the series’ main character Lucious Lyon, played by Terrance Howard. He showed up in the season finale episode last season.

All three join a growing list of MCs to nab roles on the musical drama including Ludacris, Petey Pablo, Da Brat, Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, Juicy J, Timbaland, Charles Hamilton, Pitbull and Montana of 300.

Empire returns to TV on Wed., Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
