GoFundMe Set Up For 17-Year-Old Lafayette Shooting Victim
Matthew Carter, the 17-year-old Comeaux High student who was shot over the weekend while sitting in his car, has passed away.
A prayer vigil will be held Thursday at 4:00 pm at Comeaux's football stadium.
And now a GoFundMe has been set up to raise money to help the family pay for his medical expenses.
You can donate to the family approved GoFundMe by clicking here.
According to the posting, the page was set up by one of Matthew's close friends who obviously thinks highly of his friend.
Matthew is such a sweet soul, never was mean to anyone, and always wanted to meet new people. He never turns anyone away no matter what they look like, sound like, etc...Every single day he comes sit by me, ask me how I'm doing and makes sure I'm ok and if not he'll pick me up and I look forward to that every day. I'm hoping you can help me and my family raise money for his medical bills.
Two juveniles, ages 13 and 14, have been arrested in connection with the shooting.
