Golden Chick is Finally Coming to Louisiana!
One thing I think we can all agree on is this: Louisiana needs more chicken restaurants! Sure, we got Southern Classic, Popeye's, Raising Cane's, KFC, and the lot - but there's always room for one more. That's why I am both elated and depressed by the latest in Louisiana's yard-bird eatery news.
According to the latest report from QSR, Golden Chick has infiltrated the Sportsman's Paradise! The beloved, Texas based chicken chain announced that it would be opening the first location in Louisiana in Baton Rouge. That means that while we are one step closer to getting basket-full after basket-full of those delicious Golden Tenders and buckets of gravy in the Shreveport / Bossier City area - it's still closer to get your fix at the Marshall, Texas location.
Yesterday, Golden Chick president Jim Stevens announced that the company's goal in regards to expansion was 500 locations across the country by the year 2030. Unfortunately, no timeline for an expanded presence in the state was outlined. The Baton Rouge location is now open for drive through, curbside pickup, and third-party delivery through services like DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats.
If you are planning to make your very first appearance at Golden Chick, you obviously have to try the Golden Tenders - but don't sleep on the Golden Roast Chicken or their world-famous hot yeast rolls.
