Goth Chicken Is Taking Over The Poultry World
Since I have been trying to eat better and healthier, I have been eating a lot of chicken. I usually bake it or shove top sear it. I pair it with corn and beans, or green vegetables. However, I have never had a chicken quite like this before.
This bad boy is a 'Goth' Chicken. According to Country Living, they are so rare they are worth $200 per chicken.
Caused by a genetic mutation, the effect is known as fibromelanosis. It may sound alarming but it simply means that this bird produces about 10 times more melanin than the average chicken, according to Science Daily.
