Gotye and Kimbra appeared on ‘Saturday Night Live’ on April 14 to offer audiences a live rendition of their hauntingly good single, ‘Somebody That I Used to Know,’ and fans are still buzzing about it.

For months the Australian electro-pop artist has been making headlines in the indie scene with his latest record, ‘Making Mirrors,’ largely due to his stunning international hit, which has been covered on ‘Glee,’ ‘The Voice‘ and ‘American Idol.’

Joined by New Zealand’s Kimbra, who lends her heartfelt vocals to the album track, the duo successfully conveyed the undeniable tension in the song on stage. Gotye also performed his first ‘Making Mirrors’ single, ‘Eyes Wide Open’ during his ‘SNL’ debut.

“I think SNL is so well-known for its musical performances, as well, and people really breaking into America through a really great performance on there,” Kimbra told MTV. “So I think me and Gotye are both really excited to be amongst such company. You know, it’s great.”

Goyte showed he’s a good sport by appearing in a sketch with Andy Samberg and Taran Killam in which the comedians spoofed the singer’s notable music video for ‘Somebody That I Used to Know.’ The 31-year-old held his own with the ‘SNL’ stars, and kept a straight face as they stood there “naked” before them.
